Information is taken from reports provided by the Environmental Health Department, and individual reports can be viewed at its website, http://amarillo.gov/departments/community-services/environmental-health/foodinspections. A numerical grading system is now being used, with a score of 100 points being equivalent to zero demerits.

(B/85) Calico County Restaurant, 2410 Paramount Blvd. Bottle of BBQ sauce stored at room temperature; sugar stored in metal bin that had previously contained sanitizer. COS. Spray bottle of chemical not labeled. Correct by 08/20. Rags and mug stored in hand sinks; broken gaskets must be replaced; rusty shelf in coffee making station needs to be replaced; mold on inside of ice machine. Correct by 08/27. Soda machine nozzles, ice machines and middle ceiling tiles in office/soda storage must be cleaned regularly; tiles above pizza area must be replaced to be smooth and easily cleanable; mops stored directly on floor (repeat violation); wood shelving in cabinets below coffee/drink area must be easily cleanable and non-absorbent (repeat violation). (B/87) Donut Stop, 5815 W. I-40. Chlorine sanitizing solution in bucket too strong. COS. Front cooler not holding at proper temperature; no sanitizing solution in dishwasher. Correct by 08/22.
